Profile: Surface Coating Technician (m/f/d)

Surface coaters finish the surfaces of various workpieces made of steel, brass or plastic.
This improves their quality (reducing corrosion and wear) whilst also enhancing their appearance.
The work of surface coaters focuses specifically on sanitary faucets and valves.

Your professional skills

• Pre-treat workpieces to be coated, e.g. clean, degrease and sand them
• Coat or finish metal and plastic surfaces for technical and aesthetic purposes
• Control and regulate surface treatment processes
• Read, apply and produce technical working documents
• Post-treat workpieces, e.g. smooth out surface roughness by polishing and levelling
• Check, evaluate and, where necessary, correct work results
• Document surface treatment processes
• Maintain and service equipment, and clean tanks and containers
• Check wastewater parameters in accordance with statutory regulations
• Empty, dispose of and neutralise baths and waste water in a professional manner
• Dispose of chemicals

Your requirements

• Attention to detail (e.g. when monitoring the dwell time in the immersion bath or checking the coating thickness)
• Accuracy of observation and attentiveness (e.g. noticing and rectifying irregularities in the coating)
• Manual dexterity (e.g. when pre- and post-treating workpieces)
