Certifications, conformity confirmations and other recognised forms of verification complement our own testing and control processes. They make defined requirements transparent and provide additional guidance for customers, wholesalers, installers and planners. For us, quality is not defined by a single test. It results from the interaction of management systems, material selection, manufacturing processes, product testing and documented product information.

Products and components that come into contact with drinking water are subject to defined requirements relating to materials and hygienic properties. heinrichschulte uses product- and application-specific testing, conformity confirmations and certifications to document compliance with the relevant requirements for the products covered by those procedures. The verification applicable to a specific product depends on the product, material, configuration and intended application.
UBA assessment criteria as a reference for materials
The assessment criteria issued by the German Environment Agency (UBA) provide an important reference for materials intended to come into contact with drinking water. heinrichschulte takes the relevant requirements into account when selecting and assessing materials in contact with drinking water. Product-specific testing and conformity documentation indicate whether the underlying requirements have been met for the products concerned. The assessment criteria and related verification therefore provide additional transparency for professional partners, planners and customers.
Nickel release from chrome-plated drinking water fittings and other components
heinrichschulte has been working for many years on the continued development of electroplating processes and the hygienic suitability of products intended to come into contact with drinking water. A DVGW conformity certificate is available for covered chrome-plated products with regard to compliance with requirements relating to nickel release. The certificate applies to the stated field of application, the products or product groups concerned and the manufacturing process described in the certification documentation. For the products covered by the certificate, this documents that the relevant nickel-release requirements were assessed within the certification procedure. For heinrichschulte, this forms another element of systematic quality assurance for products in contact with drinking water.
