My surface-mounted tap is leaking at the connection fittings – what is the cause of this?

When fitting the tap, ensure that the S-connections are fitted without any tension and that the specified installation dimensions are observed. It is essential to use the original seals.

What is the flow rate of my mixer?

Please refer to the flow rate chart or the technical specifications for the product in question to find the flow rate of the tap.

Can the flow rate of my mixer be limited?

Yes. Remove the lever and turn the cartridge stop screw to reduce the flow rate to the desired level. Please refer to the enclosed installation instructions. This feature may not be available on certain models.

Can the temperature of my mixer be limited?

Yes. Remove the lever and adjust the built-in temperature limiter by turning it to limit the temperature. Please refer to the enclosed installation instructions.

How do I replace the aerator on my mixer?

The instructions supplied with your mixer show how to replace the aerator.

How can I change the outlet angle of the water jet on a mixer?

The wash basin mixers in some product lines are supplied as standard with an aerator that can be adjusted by 10° in all directions. This can also be retrofitted to other mixers with an M24x1 internal thread.

Does heinrichschulte also supply mixers for open-vented water heaters?

Yes. heinrichschulte offers suitable mixers for both bathrooms and kitchens. These are identified by the term “low pressure”.

The water flow is decreasing and the spout drips briefly – what can I do?

A dirty aerator may be the cause. Unscrew the aerator and clean or replace the filter insert. On low-pressure mixers, a dirty flow limiter may also be responsible and must likewise be cleaned. Brief dripping from mixers for open-vented water heaters is entirely normal.

Water drips from the mixer while the open-vented water heater is heating up – what can I do?

To prevent excess pressure from building up in the open-vented water heater during heating, water is discharged in drops from the spout. This is technically necessary and does not constitute a product defect that would justify replacement of the mixer or a warranty or guarantee claim. Under no circumstances may the aerator on the mixer spout be replaced with an air-injecting aerator, as this could damage the water heater.

What is a pillar tap?

Pillar taps do not have a mixing function. As they are generally connected to cold water, they are also known as cold-water taps. Most pillar taps are designed for basins and wash basins used for handwashing, such as in private guest WCs or toilets in restaurants, offices and shops.

What is a push button waste?

With a push button waste, pressing the plug opens or closes the valve, making it easy to retain or drain the water.

What is a pop-up waste?

A pop-up waste produces the same result as a push button waste, but is operated differently. The pull rod is used to close or open the waste so that water is retained or drained.

What is a mixer with a plain body and where is it used?

This is a mixer that has neither a lever for operating the waste nor a chain for the plug. These mixers are used with wash basins without an overflow, or in combination with push button wastes or conventional strainer wastes.
