Technical Product Designer (m/f/d)
at heinrichschulte

Design technical products from the initial idea through to precise implementation

As a technical product designer (m/f/d) at heinrichschulte in Iserlohn, you will work at the interface between ideas, design engineering and production. You will learn how to design product parts and assemblies digitally, prepare technical drawings and develop details so that they can later be implemented with precision. If you have good spatial awareness, enjoy precise work and are interested in technology and product development, this role offers an excellent start.

Profile: Technical Product Designer (m/f/d)

Technical product designers use specialised CAD software to design individual product parts and complete assemblies. They work with a wide range of physical variables, measuring angles and volumes, determining centres of gravity, checking forces and masses, and defining lengths and areas.
They produce precise technical documentation from the completed design, which serves as an assembly and manufacturing guide. It must be sufficiently detailed to describe every technical aspect.

Your professional skills

  • Develop, engineer, design and represent individual parts and assemblies in full detail as data models using 3D CAD systems, taking function and assembly requirements into account
  • Select suitable materials and consider customer requirements
  • Select appropriate machine elements during the design process
  • Develop detailed designs
  • Incorporate economic and quality assurance considerations into the work
  • Create technical documentation from data models
  • Prepare manufacturing documents, bills of materials and standards lists
  • Maintain and manage technical data
  • Coordinate procedures with the departments involved, such as development and production
  • Prepare design drawings and sketches
  • Perform the necessary calculations
  • Add dimensions

Your requirements

  • Drawing ability, for example when representing products correctly in technical drawings
  • Technical understanding, for example knowledge of fundamental product manufacturing processes
  • Care and precision, for example when preparing accurate drawings that comply with standards
  • Spatial awareness and numerical ability, for example when representing components in three dimensions and calculating material properties

What we offer

  • A varied range of responsibilities
  • Plenty of opportunities for development
